| Great Kills Park is a great all around park for many activities: swimming at the beach, fishing off the shore, baseball and football fields, jogging trail and a bicycle trail. Fishing and boating remain popular throughout the season. Explore beach trails, dunes, and surrounding grasslands during summer months. Car and bus parking are available, as is public transportation. | This is the place for nature lovers in New York City. The refuge, a 260 acre sanctuary, is located within the Greenbelt of Staten Island. The Greenbelt is a vast 2500 acre parkland that includes two hiking trails, the Blue Trail and the White Trail. The park preserves many varieties of animal and plant wildlife.
